Walk in customer but noticed many had reservations ”
“ This was my first time coming to Malaysia and been here for the first 2 days, however trying the food here in this restaurant… wow this might be the best meal i’ve had ever since coming to Malaysia! Everything is so flavour full and such a whole new tasting experience ticked off my list. Really recommend this to those who want to experience a variety of the malaysian cuisine. ”
“ Had a pleasant dinner here. The food and service was surprisingly awesome. Everything was so warm and hot. Should try their black pepper venison, crab meat tofu and chicken pandan. Will definitely repeat! Kindly make a reservation during weekends, public holiday and Ramadan. ”
“ Waitresses are very polite and efficient. Short wait time for food yet quality is not compromised, superbly delicious and price is reasonable. We ordered paku gulai, assam curry fish slice and sotong sambal belacan, yummy. Will come again for sure. ”
“ This is a halal restaurant served nyonya food . Their food are really nice and the restaurant is clean and spacious . This is an indoor seating with air conditioner. Food rating 8/10 . Street parking but hard to find one during office hours so usually we will go there for dinner . Hassle free . Price are reasonable . We paid Rm110 for 4 dishes here and 3 glasses of drink ”
“ Great food and even managed to cater for 40 pax during dinner time Thanks, uncle for catering to our group and having our food ready for our booking time. ”
“ A simple northern Nyonya restaurant that is a must go for our family everytime we return home to Ipoh. Serving northern style nyonya dishes with an Ipoh twist as some similarly named dishes are actually different elsewhere. Look at the pictures and you can see why. Our must order dishes are the Assam tamarind prawns, the salted egg squid and the beancurd. I must say the taste is always consistent and that is why we are never hesitant to repeat our visits here. The seafood is also fresh as Pangkor is nearby. Just don't come expecting nyonya decorations ambience. Stark makan shop is what you get. Other than that your wallet will also thank you. Affordablity is their hallmark. There is another Assam House in Ipoh at Medan Gopeng but we have never been there as we are quite satisfied with this outlet. But the Medan Gopeng outlet looks more grand so they may serve more high class dishes than here. Additional: Just had another dinner here 11 months later. Had a different meal with the addition of salted fish fried rice and sizzling venison. The fried rice was just ok while the sizzling venison did not sizzle when it arrived and was a little bit salty. But the family favourites stayed through to taste and are always reliable. ”
